Shortlisted - Best Luxury New Build - Northern Design Awards 2011

In this protected Conservation Area permission is required for any demolition works. Demolition of an entire house is an uncommon occurrence.

For planning permission to be gained, the planning authority and their specialist architects must be satisfied that the proposed new dwelling will be an enhancement to the area; therefore it was a huge achievement for us to even have permission for our proposal granted.

The finished product has been designed to gently blend into its historic surroundings but yet have its own flamboyant character.
