The success of this project is due to the fact that the original character of the existing house has not been diminished but has been enhanced by this polite, elegant modern extension.
The Beaux Arts Siematic kitchen acts as a fulcrum between old and new. It, like the house, has classical proportions but like the new extension has been constructed using modern, hardwearing materials.
