Residential Development, Portrush

The residential development proposed on the site of Castle Erin would provide residents with outstanding views of Portrush beach due to its contemporary design which incorporates large areas of glazing to provide optimum views and natural light. The slope of the site allows the development to remain in keeping with its context as when looking up from the beech the houses mimics the scale of a traditional 3 story sea front terrace. The design incorporates areas to enjoy the outdoors such as seating and an extensive path network which encourages residents to journey down to the beach and into the town. The landscape design for the development brings the beech right to the resident’s doorstep. By planting species such of long grasses and using decking boards for the path the bridge between the original beach and the developments edge merges seamlessly together. The color pallet and materials have been chosen to tie in with the costal location.
