Modern Home with Curated Garden

Set on a beautiful and generous plot within a typical 1990s suburban development, this modern home was designed to make the most of the site while blending seamlessly with its surrounding context. Working closely with landscape architect Andy Sturgeon, the design integrates house and garden into a cohesive and livable whole.

The client wanted a modern house that felt contemporary yet not ultramodern—something that would sit comfortably among its more traditional neighbours. The result is a thoughtfully proportioned home with a pitched roof and soft brick facades that strike a balance between modern design and suburban familiarity.

At the rear, a generous canopy creates a sheltered outdoor living space, perfectly positioned to catch the evening sun. The architecture and landscaping work together to maximize light, privacy, and long-term livability—offering a quietly confident home that feels both new and naturally at home on the street.
