New Build Period House, Essex

This East London property is a modern, yet traditional family home located in the much sought-after Alderton Hill area, where the streets are lined with awe-inspiring detached homes.

The first design brief was to create a house that, from the outside, looked different from the rest of the properties in the area. The clients specified that they wanted a home that had a lot of character, with Edwardian and Victorian design influences.

The clients wanted to create a home that encapsulated outdoor living. This included creating a spacious back garden, which trapped in the sun. The back of the house is modern in comparison to the from, as it is wrapped from wall-to-wall in glass sliding doors to achieve the seamless indoor to outdoor living. The kitchen and dining space connects to the indoor swimming pool and home cinema room, all of which connect onto the garden; ultimately allowing the house the become a social hub, perfect for family living.

The attention to detail in the works resulted in a high-end finish which can be seen in the stunning decorative ceilings in the formal sitting rooms as well as the decadent staircase.
