Quirky New Seaside Home

Making the most of the tight, sloping site was the biggest challenge in designing this picturesque home. To fully capitalise on the stunning sea views, we strategically incorporated windows and balconies, creating a variety of spaces that seamlessly connect the interior and exterior with the natural surroundings. This thoughtful design approach ensures that every room in the house enjoys a visual link to the scenic landscape.

The house beautifully blends traditional and contemporary styles, allowing it to sit perfectly within its coastal context. The contemporary garden room features expansive glazing, maximising the breathtaking views and flooding the space with natural light. In contrast, the rest of the home maintains a more traditional form, providing a balanced and harmonious aesthetic.

Materials such as mixed Italian clay brick, a natural slate roof, and timber cladding were carefully selected to enhance the home’s softness and its relaxing seaside location. These materials not only complement the traditional elements but also highlight the contemporary features, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere.

Experience the perfect fusion of traditional charm and modern elegance in this uniquely designed home. Every detail has been meticulously crafted to offer a luxurious living experience that celebrates both the stunning natural surroundings and the comfort of contemporary design.
