Riverside classical farmhouse with contemporary internal elements

Riverside classical farmhouse with contemporary internal elements
This is a newly constructed large country house situated along the banks of a river. We created a lake at the front of the property so that, while in the dwelling, one can look out at water both front and back.
Externally the house has been designed to look like an oversized grand farmhouse, a simple classical form. Internally, the character is derived from the grand window openings, yet internal elements such as the stairs, architraves and skirtings, have been treated in a very plain, contemporary way.
