Work in Progress, Washington DC

The Piano Nobile inspired design creates a sense of opulence from the street. Entering from the home via the grand steps to the main living spaces mirrors the feeling of a grand stately home and has been achieved in Washington DC. Currently under construction the timber framed dwelling features a hipped roof with a baloney providing outdoor space for the occupant. The classical front of the house showcases grey timber sliding sash windows, with a simple off-white render confirming the houses classical style and hinting towards the contemporary rear of the home. The rear of the property is contemporary with grey aluminum sling sash windows which open out from the open plan kitchen living spaces to a covered seating area, flaunts a sky light, flooding the covered area with natural light. This leads on to the considerately designed pool and gardens with the luxurious design continuing to the timber clad garage with added accommodation above.
