Seer Green

This modern country house designed by Des Ewing draws inspiration from the spatial organisation of grand traditional country houses, reinterpreted in a contemporary context. Every aspect of the design has been carefully considered to create a harmonious blend of modernity and classic elegance. The structure is organised to evoke the grandeur of traditional estates, with thoughtful attention to proportions and layout that give it an air of timeless sophistication while meeting the needs of modern family living.

The house’s external façade features a striking combination of grey Wienerberger brick, natural stone, and a sleek Renson cladding system. These materials were chosen for their durability, aesthetic appeal, and ability to help the home merge seamlessly into its wooded surroundings. The natural tones and textures of the brick and stone reflect the earthy hues of the landscape, while the modern cladding introduces a contemporary touch, balancing tradition with innovation.

Large windows have been strategically placed to offer stunning views of the surrounding woods, while elegant colonnades provide a graceful transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces. This design fosters a strong connection with the outdoors, creating a living environment that feels open and inviting. The landscape design by Park Hood enhances the connection between architecture and nature, with lush plantings and meandering paths.
